Lensbus: Free Eye Check-Up Camps in Multiple Locations – June Update

The gift of sight is a precious one, and no one should be deprived of it due to lack of access or resources. With this mission in mind, Shikhar Dhawan Foundation (SDF) is organizing free eye check-up camps for those who need it the most.

Through our active engagement within the community, we have gained profound awareness of the distressing condition of eye health, particularly among the underprivileged. Many people in these communities face various vision challenges, such as refractive errors, cataracts, and glaucoma. However, they are unable to access professional assistance due to financial constraints or lack of awareness. This can have a devastating impact on their lives, making it difficult to work, learn, and participate in everyday activities.

Our free eye check-up camps are designed to provide much-needed access to eye care for these individuals. We offer comprehensive eye exams, including refraction, visual acuity testing, and glaucoma screening. We also provide free glasses and medication to those who need them. In addition to providing eye care, our camps also offer an opportunity for education and awareness. We provide information on eye health and preventive care, and we encourage people to get regular eye exams.

Since 2021, SDF has conducted over 100 free eye check-up camps, reaching over 20,000 people. We have helped to restore vision to many people, and we have also raised awareness about the importance of eye health.

We are committed to bringing joy and vision to our community. Our free eye check-up camps are a way to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.
