Shikhar Dhawan Provides Help to Refugees
On the 4th of July 2020, Shikhar Dhawan had spent an enjoyable morning with the Pakistani Hindu Refugee community staying near Majlis Metro Station in Delhi. He was overjoyed to see the smiling faces of the people in struggling times and mentioned that he was grateful for their
kind reception of him.
He had come to their help when the community was struggling to maintain themselves due to the lockdown by making donations of bedding essentials and toilet sundries to the community while also interacting with the children and donating cricket kits to them. As shared by him, the
people were shocked and very happy that he came to their locality.
Shikhar Dhawan quoted that “My friend has been working with the refugee camp, he has put trees and toilets there, they have distributed a lot of food there during the lockdown. So, I was also thinking as to how I can contribute to the community, we have delivered cricket kits there, I
am grateful to God that I am in such a place where I can help the community, now those guys can play, I asked my sponsors Kookaboora to deliver some quality stuff there and I am grateful to them that they did the needful”.
